I do what I can

At my last apartment, they didn't have recycling available to us. None of the other ones I lived in before probably did either, but since they didn't have it I just didn't recycle. Finally I decided that just because they were lazy didn't mean I had to be, so I bought a basket to keep in my place & every week I would take it down the road to recycle. After a few weeks I noticed how much stuff I was taking back, realizing how much of that I was typically throwing in the trash! Any paper products I buy I try to find things that are recycled. I never yell at anyone, but I always cringe inside when I'm in the car with someone and they throw wrappers & things out the window as they're driving down the road. Keep it in the car, you'll have to get gas soon enough & all gas stations have trash cans! Although I have wanted to harp on people about their carelessness, I've found that instead of making it sounds like your passing judgement from your eco-friendly pedestal, a few hints dropped here & there & being a good example really goes a long way.
